Gabri • Elle

Gabri • Elle is a pop / rock artist with killer vocals and a monster bass. She has a high end vocal range that will make most people jealous and she can lay down a mean groove. She gravitates towards a heavy rock sound with a driving beat but can still be tender and sweet. She has an infectious personality that shines on stage. Gabri • Elle has almost limitless potential. She commands your attention. And once you give it, she won’t let go. So just go along for the ride!

What is your favorite color?

Purple.

What is your favorite food?

Crab.

Do you have any pets?

Two dogs, one named Laddie, the other named Daisey.

What is your favorite genre of music?

I enjoy listening to all types of music, and I really have no preferences.

When and how did your interest in music begin?

My interest in music began when I was very young after listening to a Taylor Swift song, which to this day is still a favorite in my playlists.

Who is your favorite music artist? Why?

I can’t choose a single artist. I admire many artist, all from different genres of music. Some artist high on my list include Tori Kelly and TobyMac.

If you could perform on stage with anyone, who would it be? Why?

I would love to perform with Tori Kelly. It would be amazing to see her incredible vocal range in action, and to be able to learn from the way she puts everything into her performances.

How would you describe yourself as an artist?

I am not really sure how to describe myself. I have a high vocal range, but I enjoy playing all the lowest instruments such as the electric bass. I always strive to do my best, and I want my lyrics to be powerful and actually mean something. My emotions change quickly, so I can go from being sad about something to being mad about it, which might go into my lyrics in the future.

Who do you most admire? Why

I look up to my parents, who have to put up with me all the time, while managing their other jobs. My parents need to take me to band sectionals, NJHS meetings, Jazz Band, Rhythm Sectionals, and events for everything else. They also have to pay for the care of my expensive band instruments and fees. It still amazes me how they manage that.

What are some of your interests/hobbies other than music?

Music is a key role in my life. But outside of choir, band, jazz band, orchestra, and KETOS, I work on all my academic studies. It is hard maintaining a high grade in all my high level classes and music, so for some downtime I play video games, read, and to be completely honest I also play with legos. What can I say, they help me focus.

What is something interesting about you?

Interesting? Me? Well, I am the first person in the history of my school to be in band, choir, and orchestra. I play an instrument barely anyone else plays, and I have maintained all A’s since I was in second grade.

What qualities do you have that you believe are unique?

I am an amazing multi-tasker. Just picture this… Jazz Band, Orchestra, Choir, Band, all of my high level classes, KETOS, and personal time all falling on your plate when you were unprepared and still half-asleep (most activities are in the morning and go till late at night). Most kids would not be able to handle that.

Have you ever received any prominent award or recognition for anything you've done? (music, art, academics, athletics, etc.)

I was accepted into the National Juniors Honor Society due to my grades and attitude towards school, and I was the second chair Bass Clarinetist at the 7th-Grade All-District band in 2016-2017. I am in the top band, top choir, and top orchestra at my school, and I’ve received All-A Honor Roll multiple years and still going.

Is there anything you would like everyone to know about you?

I’d like everyone to know that I am ready to show the world who I am, and what I stand for.
